A Night with Leslie Veiga
LESLIE VIEGA is the Director of Communication and Human Resources for
Citrus Health Network Inc. Since joining the organization in 2013, she has led
strategic communications, legislative advocacy, and cross functional initiatives
that expand access to behavioral health, primary care, and other community-
based services. Her work includes stakeholder engagement, project manage-
ment, and organizational initiatives supporting individuals experiencing mental
illness, homelessness, human trafficking, and child welfare.
Before joining Citrus, Leslie served as a congressional communication and
campaign director, and worked in a government affairs firm advising public
and private clients on federal, state, and local issues.
She serves on the Young Professionals Council of Amigos for Kids, is the
President-Elect of the Pilot Club of Miami, and has previously chaired the
Florida Kidcare Coalition of Miami-Dade County. A four-time graduate of
the University of Florida, Leslie holds an MBA, a master’s degree in political
science, bachelor’s degrees in journalism and history, and has completed
executive leadership training at Stetson University. She also holds Lean Six
Sigma Gold and Yellow Belt certifications.
She’s still an avid fan of both the Florida Gators and the Florida Panthers.
Hope, Heart & Home has had the pleasure of teaming up with Leslie over
8 years on a variety of projects, from a trade scholarship program with the
Lucas Alvarez LA6 Foundation to the Black Tie & Sneaker Ball, as well as
Graduation and Reunification Celebrations.
