
Collaboration for children in foster care keeps moving forward.
Hope, Heart & Home continues its support for children in foster care this fall through collaborations with
its child welfare partners. These recent efforts include: (photos below)
(1) Teaming up with the Kiwanis Club of Miami and Sadie’s Daughter Inc. to establish a coed flag
football team at Pine Villa Elementary in Homestead.
(2) Through CAREPORTAL and with the help of the Kiwanis Club of Miami, they have surpassedsupporting over 100 children.
(3) Collaborating with Holy Rosary-St. Richard’s Ministry, Propelled in Christ, for parish backpack and
teddy bear drives for His House For Children, Citrus FCN, and Random Acts of Kindness.
(4) Supporting Random Acts of Kindness and BDW & More in their diaper drive initiative for
biological and foster moms.
(5) Partnering with Glory to God PPEC and AGAPE as they roll out expanded services for
foster children.
(6) Strengthening connections with the Kiwanis Club of Miami, which has become a leading partner
in Dade County’s child welfare efforts!
(7) On-going “Random Acts of Kindness” donations to biological and foster
families. Teams in South Dade under Mary Walton and teams in North Dade
under Bernadett Horvath (BDW & More) have visited and helped over
130 families.
(8) Partnering with Lucas Alvarez LA6 Foundation & Citrus Family Care Network
to offer scholarships to teens aging out of foster care who want to attend a
technical school.
(9) Random Acts of Kindness and Trinity Christian Church delivery of bedding
to a large foster family facing a challenge to provide safe and secure sleep.
(10) Teaming up with Holy Rosary – St. Richards Catholic Church to deliver
teddy bears and stuffed animals to children in foster care
(11) Providing Genesis Hopeful Haven and First Star Academy with licensed Mentors.
